Stand Together Trust Welcomes Nancy Perry Graham

December 19, 2016

Stand Together Trust is pleased to announce that Nancy Perry Graham has joined its communications team to lead the organization’s editorial and creative capabilities. She will also play an instrumental role in Stand Together Trust’s Media and Journalism Fellowship, which will benefit from the expertise of a number of media experts and industry professionals.

“We are thrilled to welcome Nancy Graham and are excited about the thought leadership and diversity of experience she will bring to our organization, particularly to our suite of educational programs for students and professionals,” said Brian Hooks, president of Stand Together Trust and Charles Koch Foundation.

Before joining Stand Together Trust, Graham spent three and a half years leading a multimedia team as chief content officer for Life Reimagined, a digital and community-based platform for AARP. Previously, as editor in chief of AARP The Magazine—the world’s largest circulation magazine, with 37 million readers—Graham revitalized the AARP brand, boosting magazine readership and engagement to record-high levels and elevating AARP’s image and influence with high-profile celebrity events. In 2006, Graham launched the annual Movies for Grownups gala, which she grew into one of Hollywood’s premiere awards-season events. She also helped lead the publication to its first National Magazine Award. Among her many media appearances, Graham was a featured contributor on Boomers 2.0, an AARP/RLTV documentary and televised town hall with host Jane Pauley.

Prior to joining AARP, Graham spent 17 years as a journalist for Time Inc. She won numerous awards for her coverage of public education reform for Fortune and launched Fortune’s annual Education Summit, bringing together leaders from education, business, and government. She later covered the defense and aerospace industries as Fortune’s Los Angeles Bureau chief. She then spent five years as senior editor of politics and policy for Money, where she won an Investigative Reporters and Editors Award, before returning to Hollywood to break weekly cki_news as the Insider columnist for People.
